A makerspace works when students can move between processes — design something, print it, cut it, form it, wire it up. This category collects the equipment that fills the gaps between the big machines: vacuum formers, UV printers, safe cutting tools, electronics and prototyping kits, and the consumables that go with them.
If you are building a space from scratch, the usual core is a 3D printer, a cutting machine, basic electronics and a solid worktable, then expanding based on what students actually gravitate toward. Starting narrow and adding deliberately works better than buying broadly on day one.
Layout, power, ventilation and storage matter as much as the equipment list, and they are much harder to fix later. We have helped schools, libraries and colleges plan and outfit makerspaces at a range of budgets, and we are happy to talk through a plan before you buy anything.
