Filament is the consumable that determines whether a printing program keeps running. We stock PLA, ABS, PETG, nylon, polycarbonate, carbon-fiber reinforced blends, flexible filaments and dissolvable support materials, in single spools and classroom multi-packs.
For most school programs PLA is the right default: it prints at low temperature, needs no heated chamber, produces minimal odor and is forgiving for beginners. PETG adds durability for parts that need to survive handling, ABS suits functional and higher-temperature work, and specialty blends serve engineering courses that need stiffness or heat resistance.
Schools typically underestimate filament consumption. A single active classroom printer can run through several kilograms a term, so multi-packs and bulk pricing usually work out better than reordering spool by spool. Store spools sealed and dry — moisture absorption is the most common cause of poor print quality.
